The Boschendaal Golf Course covers 140 hectares and was the first 27 hole golf course in the Western Cape. At Ceres Zipline Adventures one can experience the longest Zipline Tour in Africa, the 1.4 kilometre Eco Adventure is made up of 8 slides carrying from 100 to 290 metres in length. Le Bonheur Crocodile Farm is known as the ideal family destination, with a number of activities on offer for all ages. During the Croc Pond Tour visitors to the farm have the opportunity to touch baby crocodiles and in summer one can view the feeding sessions. Light meals or picnic baskets can be obtained from the on-site Cafe. Catch and release fly fishing is available, with the dam well stocked with Bass and Tilapia fish. The farm is a registered breeder and tanner of the African Nile Crocodile, the leather from these creatures is exotic and sought after worldwide.

Butterfly World is an unique destination in the Cape Winelands, with a tropical garden within a 1000m2 green house, here exotic butterflies fly freely.
The picturesque outdoor garden has a built in lapa for children's activities, free range ducks and chickens tame enough to be fed by children as well as a meerkat enclosure. In alternate enclosures visitors walk among the free roaming birds, green iguanas, common marmosets and blue duiker. There is a Spider Room with scorpions and spiders, these creatures can be easily viewed, however, there is no contact with visitors. In addition one can find lizards, Madagascan Chameleons, bearded dragons, tortoises, Australian Skinks and a few parrots.

The Afrikaans Taal Monument was built in 1975 and officially opened on the 10th October. It acknowledges the influence of languages such as Dutch, Portuguese, Malay, French, Arabic, English, German, Khoi and a number of African Languages, on the creation of the Afrikaans Language. The Volksmond Coffee Shop prepares picnic baskets, serves light meals and sundowners, this venue can also be hired for private or corporate events. The Monument is set in exotic gardens and is an ideal venue for romantic picnics and stargazing during the summer months.
